Using ROBO Deck Designer

With ROBO Deck Designer all the designs are created using a series of website forms. To get started please check the "I accept the terms & Conditions of this website" then press the "Get Started" button.

After pressing this the first website form appears. The forms are straightforward to fill in with numerous supporting images, with the design process completed within numerous simple steps. The number of steps required varies on:

  • Whether a site plan is required
  • The shape of the house (if a site plan is required)
  • Whether a handrail is required
  • Whether the drawing needs editing afterwards

There is also a section for many of the website forms which provide some useful tips. The section directly below the form can be found with a large question mark on the left hand side.

After the first form is filled out, the website sends the user an email with the login information.

The forms are arranged in a logical sequence. The first few webpages deal with the login details and basic site and user information. The next forms are involved with the category, shape, size and height of the deck. From here there are specific questions relating to the design - the handrail style (if one is required) and whether there is a concrete or a timber foundation wall.

After this there is the option if you want to include a site plan for drawing. The site plan requires a lot of questions the boundaries, house shape and location of any neighbouring streets. Also there is the option to add any additional buildings on the property e.g. garages or sleepouts.

The last forms are related to changing the drawing colours and the ability to go back and edit any aspect of the design.

Finally after a user is asked if they want to purchase a drawing, or require a preview drawing the website generates the drawings, a bill of materials in Word format and a bill of materials in a CSV (Comma Separated Value) format.

Please Note

The ROBO Deck Designer is constantly improved on a regular basis. Therefore the images shown on this webpage may be outdated.
